2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Updates Offer More Power

The 2015 Outlander Sport ES and GT models are getting an under-the-hood boost. According to Mitsubishi, among the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport updates will be a new, larger 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine, bumping the output in those models from 148 to 168 horsepower.

The Outlander Sport 2.4 ES will be differentiated from the base ES model with a black center bumper, black roof rails, and outside mirrors with LED turn indicators. Inside, the 2.4 ES will feature a power driver’s seat, aluminum pedals, and a leather-wrapped parking brake handle.

An optional GT Premium Package offers a premium sound system, a panoramic glass roof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and LED mood lighting.  Upgrading to the Touring Package adds leather seats and a Navigation system with a 7-inch high-definition touchscreen, real-time traffic, 3D mapping, and point-of-interest information.

Mitsubishi has not yet released additional specifications, including fuel economy numbers or acceleration times, but we have no doubt that the powerful 2.4-liter engine will be a hit among shoppers. The 2015 Outlander Sport ES and SE models (with the standard 2.0-liter engine) are already available at Carriage Mitsubishi. Look for the more powerful versions to make their way to showrooms later this year!
