If you’re looking for a practical family vehicle, a small crossover may prove to be a rewarding choice. The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is hands-down one of the segment’s best values. A great warranty and affordable pricing give the Outlander a clear advantage over the competition. Some car shoppers may also be considering buying a new 2019 Toyota RAV4. Let’s find out which one of these crossovers is the better option.

The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is a great buy. Its MSRP is among the lowest in the class. You’ll also appreciate Mitsubishi’s excellent warranty, which includes 5 years/60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage and 10 years/100,000 miles of powertrain protection. Meanwhile, a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty come with Toyota RAV4. There’s no denying which SUV packs the most value.

Interior and Features

Today’s family appreciate being able to travel in comfort. While both of these crossovers provide excellent passenger room, only the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander offers three-row seating. This is a huge advantage for drivers who need to accommodate more people. The two-row Toyota RAV4 only seats up to five passengers, opposed to seven. While dual-zone climate control comes standard on the new Outlander, this creature comfort is only found on the RAV4’s upper trims. Furthermore, some features are not offered on the RAV4. Android Auto, which is an accessible smartphone integration technology, is exclusively available on the new Outlander.

Exterior Styling

The redesigned 2019 Toyota RAV4 looks more striking than before. However, some drivers may find its exterior styling to be a bit too polarizing. Mitsubishi has updated the new Outlander with new headlamps and a refreshed grille, which enhance the SUV’s modern appearance. A nice-looking set of 18-inch alloy wheels also come standard on the Outlander. Don’t expect the RAV4’s standard steel wheels to attract as much attention. An even sleeker set of 18-inch black wheels are found on the Outlander Limited Edition.

While the 2019 Toyota RAV4 deserves praise, it ultimately loses this comparison to the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. To experience how the new Outlander stacks up against the competition, contact Carriage Mitsubishi to schedule a test drive.
