Fourth of July in Atlanta, Georgia

June 22nd, 2017 by

Independence Day is important day each year that communities come together to celebrate when the original 13 colonies broke away from Great Britain to become an independent country. The American Revolution was a hard-fought battle and ultimately led to the freedoms we enjoy today.

Now, if that isn’t worth celebrating, we don’t know what is! Here are a few ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in Atlanta as suggested by us at Carriage Mitsubishi!

Fourth of July in Atlanta

Fireworks Displays
Attending a fireworks display is fairly easy if you’re anywhere in Atlanta. Bright fireworks light up the sky over SunTrust Park and Centennial Olympic Park every Fourth of July. Look to the skies once it gets dark and you might see an incredible display unlike any other in the United States of America. There’s a whole day before the fireworks go off, so grab some food and enjoy the fun festivities as Centennial Olympic Park or attend a baseball game at SunTrust Park.

Peachtree Road Race
More than 150,000 fans line the 10-kilometer-long route from Peachtree Road to Piedmont Park. Together, they cheer on more than 60,000 runners in the nation’s largest road race. Join in the fun and support those competing to run the race in record time!
