Air Filter

Knowing how to replace your cabin air filter is essential, but it’s easy to learn even for the least handy among us. Follow these steps and you’ll have your filter replaced in under 20 minutes!

The cabin air filter could be in a few different places, usually inside the glove compartment. Check your owner’s manual if you’re having trouble finding it—the manual should tell you the location.

If it is in the glove compartment, take off the limit stopping arm on the right side of the box so you can release the whole compartment from its side clamps. Just squeeze the front and back toward each other until it comes free.

Now you should see the faceplate covering the air filter. Take the faceplate off and take out the old air filter. Clean out the filter chamber, vacuuming out the dust and wiping it down with a cloth. Then just pop the new filter into chamber, and all that’s left to do is pop the glove box back into place!
