Mitsubishi Motors 2014 Sales Increase Dramatically in December
Over the past few years, Mitsubishi has been establishing itself in the American market—and it looks like all of its work is finally paying off! The Japanese carmaker recently announced a dramatic sales increase in 2014 after reporting total vehicle sales of 77,643 units. These sales mark a 24.8 percent sales increase over 2013.
“December marked the tenth consecutive month of year-over-year increases and helped us close out the year with an increase of nearly 25% over the previous year,” said Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President for Mitsubishi Motors North America. “Our core models lead the way with Outlander Sport having its best-ever sales year since its introduction, Mirage selling well beyond expectations, and Outlander coming in strong up over 6% for the year.”
The Mitsubishi Motors 2014 sales were helped in part to the Outlander, Outlander Sport, and Mirage sport sedan. The Outlander Sport increased 24.5 percent from 2013 and recorded its best December sales this year, while the Outlander saw a sales increase of 6.4 percent. The Mirage also continued its strongest sales pace with 1,135 units sold.
