Which Mitsubishi Crossover SUV is the Best?

While being the best can sometimes be relative based on an individual buyer’s personal perspective, there are some features that make a vehicle standout in an undeniable fashion that pushes it to the frontline.

That vehicle is the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander!

The Outlander doesn’t make it to the front of the line just because of its appealing affordability or because it’s one of the few Crossovers’ that has a compact third-row seating – there’s so much more!

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander was updated with a brand new look, which includes an improved front and rear bumper design along with new LED daytime running lights. The new design is by far the best when compared to previous Outlander models and sets it apart from other Crossovers. In 2016, the Outlander went through a major redesign and has only continually improved. The sharper style shines through in the 2018 model with its more modern and refreshed look. It’s also clear that Mitsubishi wanted to stress upon the Outlanders rugged and athletic feel as well, which certainly appeals to the type of driver who likes an off-road adventure!

When it comes to performance, the standard 2.4-liter engine is more than enough for the power you need. The 166 horsepower and 162 pounds of torque generate a potent range of muscle for a Crossover while giving you incredible EPA-ratings of 25 city and 30 highway MPG. An available 3.0-liter engine in the Outlander GT model will produce EPA ratings of 20 city and 27 highway MPG.

When you drive an Outlander, you’re definitely not overwhelmed by any of the interior technology. The controls are simple and very easy to use, especially those that are within finger-touch reach on the heated steering wheel. It’s fair to say that simplicity was designed at its best in the 2018 Outlander. Of course, the standard 7.0–inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are features that help bring the Outlander’s technology to the frontline as well. However, the front collision mitigation, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and blind spot monitoring are all contributing factors too. But wait, that’s not all! The heated rear side mirrors and power-glass moonroof are completely unexpected standard features as well. It’s almost as though someone at the Mitsubishi factory was giving away features that weren’t supposed to be included. But we won’t tell if you won’t!

If it’s flexibility that you want and to have more room when you need it, then the Outlander is the solution. The cabin is more than spacious with exceptional head and leg room, but within a few seconds you can fold down the second and third-row seats to have enough room to load plenty of gear for a road adventure! As we mentioned above, Outlander’s third-row seats are an exception to the Crossover class of SUV’s and an exceptional addition to having two extra seats along with the flexibility to extricate them as well. That’s what they call having your cake and eating it too! Enjoy!
